Last day and the surprise revealed :)
Last day of the trip, sad that we had to bid adieu to this wonderful city and happy because we were heading back home. It was sure a lazy day. We woke up around 9 am and started packing all our stuff as we had to check out from the hotel. After checking out around 2 pm ,we left to my friend Pavan's house. We had a nice South Indian lunch, bisi bele bath and shavige paysa. After relaxing for a while, we left to IBN Battuta Mall around 5pm.
This mall happens to be the world's largest themed mall and is uniquely designed to celebrate the travels of Arabic explorer Ibn Battuta (pronounced Ibin) . It has six different courts, Persian, Egyptian, Indian, Andalusia, Tunisian and Chinese. It has UAE's only IMAX theatre. The colours and themes are very vibrant and attractive. It completely changed our perception about the usual shopping malls. Each region Ibn Battuta explored is reflected in the architecture and theme of the mall's six courts.

The best courts were The Persian and Chinese. We roamed around the mall, took a lot of pictures, had some food and then finally left the mall.

Dubai creek is a salt water creek which divides the city of Dubai into two main sections, Deira and Bur Dubai. Just like the normal taxis and buses, Dubai has water buses and taxis to take people from Deira to Bur Dubai and vice versa. They are just like normal boats but are called taxis and buses. They have different stations to get down. The most important thing to know about Dubai Creek is, there is a stretch where photography is not allowed because one of the sheikhs, Sheikh Saeed al-Maktoum has his house right there on the banks of the creek and there are boards everywhere and security guards to monitor no one is capturing photos. If caught then the punishment would be severe. The thing which surprised us was that the house was so huge and it continued for almost 1-1.5 kilometres and we couldn't take any photos. I wonder how many people live there. But it sure was a beautiful palace. We had a good look at the Dubai buildings which were standing tall and glowing in the dark.
After the lovely experience it was time for dinner. Time was 11 pm and we both were worried because we thought we may not get to eat anything. We went to a restaurant called dosa plaza and were shocked to see so many people waiting outside the restaurant as all the tables were booked. We had to wait about 30 minutes just to get the seats. We had some very nice South Indian food and then went to our hotel to pick up our luggage. From the hotel we went to pavan's house and rested for a while, freshened up and left to airport around 1.15am. When we reached there it was 2 am. Our flight was at 5.15 am. There were too many people waiting at the counter and it took us about an hour to check in. We then did some quick shopping and also had some refreshing coffee at costa coffee. Around 4.30am we boarded the flight and left Dubai at 5.15am. We were feeling very happy as we enjoyed this trip to the core, got to know so many things about Dubai, it's people and it's culture, saw most of the world's best things, ate a lot of good food and spent some best time with each other. We covered one more destination from our bucket list :)
Journey back home was good. We reached Brunei around 4.45pm. Our next flight to Melbourne was at 8 pm. So we went to the same old coffee shop but this time we had vanilla milkshake instead of the disastrous ice coffee. We boarded the flight from Brunei at 7.45 pm and left Brunei at 8.10 pm. When we reached Melbourne the next day, it was around 5.15 am. We were finally back home and that's the best feeling.
So this was my Dubai experience. Hope everyone liked it. All your feedback and suggestions are welcome. There is something which I didn't reveal in all my eight posts and that's about the surprise. But even now I'm not revealing it. It will come into light in a few days. It's definitely worth a wait :)
Thanks a lot everyone

Our next destination was the Dubai Creek. Dhow cruise is very famous in Dubai. Dhow is a boat kind which is illuminated by fascinating colours and dinner is served while we are cruising. There were lots and lots of dhow cruises happening when we reached the creek. The boats were decorated very well and we could hear Bollywood music being played and saw people enjoying their special dinner afloat. Dhow cruise requires prior booking but we hadn't booked anything as we were not sure if we could make time for it. Instead of dhow cruise, our friends took us on a private jet boat ride. This was a refreshing experience. We went and sat at the front where we could feel the fresh air hitting our faces. It was heavenly and totally needed. During this river cruise, we got to know few things about this Dubai creek.
