Beautiful Bali- Day 3 and 4

Our third day started on a very good note. We had booked for a Bali quad biking followed by an elephant safari. When I booked this attraction, I was not aware of the fact that quad biking is not the usual one we do.  So the driver picked us from our villa around 9 am and we left to the place which is almost 1.5 hours of drive from Seminyak. We were welcomed with a welcome kit which consisted of water, orange juice, chocolates and rice crisp bar.

So finally around 11am , little late than expected because of the traffic, we reached the spot. It's on top of a mountain amidst the villages. The location was amazingly good but it was quite cold up there. We were given lockers and then treated with light snacks. The tour covers insurance worth $50 USD so we had to fill a few forms and complete the process. We were then shown a video about the activity we have chosen to do. There are three options- quad biking, buggy driving and canyon tubing. We were booked for quad biking and so we carefully learnt all the techniques through that short video. We both were in a single quad bike as I chose to be a pillion rider. The main rider will be given some training by the experienced trainers and once they feel we are ready to go , they take us around. The surprising part came when we were told that we will be driving for two hours along the villages atop the mountain. This was one of a kind experience which we hadn't done and were excited to do. So Naveen started with his training and drove for a few minutes in their training place. Finally when all the training was done, we were ready to explore the nearby villages.

It was one mind blowing experience. The roads were muddy and not straight. It was so much fun to ride and that too with so many other people. We get to ride for two hours and in between we stop for a while just to relax and take a few pictures. After the experience, we were served with yummy lunch and then we left to the elephant safari park.

Elephant safari  was one of the highlights of our tour. This elephant park was opened by an Australian, Nigel. There are 31 elephants and 4 baby elephants in that park. Our elephant was Ardhila and she was 34 years old. She was very soft and patient. The elephant takes us around the park and then gets down in a little pond for a nice photo session and also poses with everyone. After the elephant safari, it was time for the elephant show and the baby elephants performed in the show. They are trained so well and they look so sweet and cute when they do all the funny stuff. They play basket ball, they do addition and subtraction, they walk on two legs, they play with us by spraying water on our faces, they paint and they rub around like kids. We just loved those beautiful creatures.. After finishing the show, we went to feed a baby elephant and spent some time with the little one. After spending another hour in the park , we finally left for our villa. The day was spent really well and it ended with a wholesome dinner at the villa restaurant.

The fourth day was very relaxed because we had no tours booked and the whole day was ours. We got ready and left the villa with a two wheeler and started exploring the streets of Bali. We were lost in a few roads but it was fun to get back to the proper route. We went to Seminyak beach and spent some time relaxing at the beach. The beach looks so beautiful. Also it's a great place to get a few pictures clicked. We even had coconut water which made us feel nostalgic about the Indian ones. From the beach, we left in search of a good restaurant for lunch and we ended up with an Indian restaurant by name Queens Tandoor. The food was amazing and we decided to come back to the same place for dinner. After lunch we just roamed around the streets and did some shopping. We went back to the villa and slept for a while. We then woke up to a nice massage which lasted for 30 minutes and was much needed. After that good massage, we got ready and left, roamed the streets and as decided earlier, had dinner at Queens Tandoor.

We slept early because the next day we had to leave the villa very early at 7 am for our next venture- Balinese cooking class. That's our fun filled third and fourth day. Will be back with day 5 and 6. Till then keep reading, see you. Thanks
